Course Description:

The course is designed to give to Non-Production Engineers the basic knowledge on Production Engineering, in order to improve their communication among the asset team members.

Overview of Production Engineering, Reservoir fundamentals, Well Testing, Nodal analysis, Lower and Upper Completions, Perforations, Completion Fluids, Multilaterals, Well Completion Equipment (tubing, packers, safety valves, etc), Production Logging, Artificial Lift, Formation Damage, Matrix treatments, Hydraulic Fracturing, Sand Control, Intelligent Completions, Subsea Completions, Well Intervention (application of Slickline and Coiled Tubing), Introduction to Surface Facilities.

  • Nodal analysis (Inflow and outflow); Production Optimization using Nodal Analysis; Lower and Upper Completions; Perforations; Completion Fluids; Multilaterals
  • Well Completion Equipment (casing string and suspension, wellheads and w-mass trees, tubing selection and connections, packers, safety valves, accessories); Running completions; Production Logging
  • Artificial Lift (Gas Lift and pumps); Formation Damage; Matrix Treatments; Hydraulic Fracturing
